Sergey Hudyakov (Худяков Сергей Викторович)

I was born on the 9th of August, 1975 in the town of Kamensk-Uralsky (Sverdlovskaya region) – this place is situated in the Urals (Russia).

In 1984 I moved to Stavropol Region, into the town of Nevinnomyssk (which can be translated as ‘the Innocent Cape’), where I live until now. I graduated from the secondary school (in 1992) and the French language department of Pyatigorsk State Linguistics University (in 1998). After this education I mastered well enough English and French. I learned to play chess at 6, but I started serious trainings only since autumn 1987. I got very fast the Soviet first category, became a candidate master in 1997, won the Nevinnomyssk championship in 2005, then the Stavropol region championship (2008). The same year I started collaboration with ‘the Russian Chess House’. In total, for the 1st of January, 2015, I have translated from English and Spanish 15 chess books (including 2 for ‘Eksmo’ publishing house). Also, I worked as a chess coach for 10 years.

My other passions are foreign languages and literatures studying, sports (football, tennis, brain games), music.
